OZARK'S FOUR WOOD cutting saws are fragile, white metal castings ranging in size between 5 1/4 and 1 1/2 actual inches. Since the dimensions of actual saws varied, the models are interchangeable between 1:22.5 and 1:24 scales and should be useable down to 1:29 scale.
Even though Ozark categorizes the saws as logging implements they would be equally at home in mining camps, with railroad construction crews and, in the case of the smaller ones, on ranches, farms, or new townsites--wherever someone would be have reason to remove trees.
The quality of the castings is excellent. The detail is crisp and there is plenty of it. Our samples showed no evidence of flash. A modeler has only to paint them and add them to a scene. First rate.--RR
