LGB'S WHITE PASS & Yukon models are all very accurate representations of their prototypes. That accuracy extends to the loads those models transport. The 5057 loads are nothing more than the same containers LGB includes with its 4085 WP&Y flat but the paint and lettering are different. Instead of a silver container with black White Pass lettering, you get one yellow container with white P&O lettering and a colorful flag and one red container with the familiar yellow LGB logo against a green background on top of one green and two white stripes.
The containers are essentially boxes except for their operating double freight doors. Tabs on each end will secure them to the 4085 flatcar. Alternatively you may place them on the ground or a freight dock, singly or double-stacked, just as their full-size counterparts would appear at Skagway.
Each container scales 22 feet 2 inches long, 7 feet 7 inches wide, and 7 feet 11 inches high (about 12 by 4 by 4 1/4 actual inches). Construction consists entirely of four high-quality, snap-together plastic castings: a base, a top shell, and the two doors. As you might expect, the paint and lettering are excellent.
The loads should add variety to existing rolling stock or colorful clutter to a freight terminal. The quality is topnotch.-RR
