1:22.5 AND 1:20 SCALE DETAIL PARTS

Manufacturer: Ozark Miniatures, P.O. Box 22, Linn Creek, MO 65052. Price: OM-97 firecracker antenna $1.50 per pair; OM-117 backhead tool tray $1.25 per set; OM-123 16-inch round number plate $1.20 each.

OZARK MINIATURES' LATEST trio of castings maintains their usual standard of excellence. None of our samples showed evidence of flash, each piece was clean and crisp, the proportions were good, and the appearance of every part seemed accurate.

The "firecracker" antenna is the "odd duck" of the group. It is the only non-steam era item and belongs on the roof of a diesel, such as LGB's White Pass, Rio Grande, or Santa Fe. The round number plate comes with its own mounting screw and scales about 16 inches in diameter in 1:22.5 scale or about 14 inches in 1:20.3. It would fit Lehmann's Porter nicely, and should represent the large round number plate of C&S Number 6 if you mount in on an LGB Mogul.

The final item, the backhead tool tray set, comes with a small oil can and a coffee mug. The oil can is the smallest currently available in large scale and I doubt any other company has produced a coffee mug. It is an attractive set and will add a lot of character to the side of your locomotive's backhead.

Ozark's name has become almost synonymous with detailing. Take a look at the line; you'll find out why.-RR
