Title: Historic Shaver Lake Sawmill resurfaces...
Post by: W.P. Rayner on December 18, 2011, 06:39:12 PM
Check out link for interesting photos of the old Shaver Lake Sawmill & dam. Lake has just been drained for work on the present dam, exposing the remains of the old sawmill site... some interesting shots and remarkable construction elements that have survived having been submerged since the 1920s.

Very cool Paul - thanks for posting.
I worked for the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) during the summers when I was in architecture school.  We documented old buildings all of Kansas, although nothing quite this cool.  Still, most fun I ever had at work.
