At last a decent Mk1 Land Rover kit in 1/35th
Barney
Of course, only the military called it the Mark 1, to everyone else it was a Land Rover. Until the wheelbase was increased from 80" to 86" . It only became a Series One in 1958 when the Series 2 was introduced.
I also have been waiting many years for a 1/35th scale Series One to come on the market and it looks as if this might be the first of a series of different models . I have seen that there are plans for a later version of this model to be introduced at some point . It looks like a nice kit
These are the two new versions that are due at some point this year .
It looks like it will assemble into a beautiful model. If both of you build one, please post your progress. -- Russ
Reminds me I did some etchings for a Landrover a few years back as a job for a customer.
This was for the 'pink panther' rather than the MkI though. Etched in Stainless steel. I can't recall the scale, but most likely 1/35.
Beautiful. -- Russ
