Title: First test for a Southwest Adobe Walls building in 1:48
Post by: LLOYD on September 19, 2009, 10:16:23 AM
Howdy Compadre,

I started by making a base in foam board!
I dug some holes, to place wood and apparent bricks, in then filling these places with plaster to engrave bricks........

Thanks Ray,

After carving bricks, to imitate the rough coats damages and cracked, I used putty used by the coatchbuilders, the only problem is the gray color!
To improve the relief, wall them its past with the sandpaper.

For painting, I started with a diluted layer of matt white Tamiya subdue, once dryness, I painted with matt humbrol very diluted with mineral spirit, yellow # 63 and brick # 70!
Some shade with alcohol and black ink!

I think that I will lighten the bricks!
Sincerely!

Lloyd

Very nice! Makes me want to do an adobe structure for my layout, if I can find a place to fit it in.

Hello Ray,

I think that a building in adobe, will be look perfect on your G scale layout!
In this scale you can probably cast the wall in plaster or cement.

Sincerely!
