Kids,
Here are a few shots of a project I've been working on that's just about ready for paint - a converted Casey Jones rail car turned MOW-rail truck. This is the Berlyn 1/20 brass model and it has a Tsunami sound decoder installed for DCC. The speaker is the "gas tank" under the rear of the deck. The body was shortened and an I-beam / chain fall rig will be mounted on the back. The deck will have one-board sides and tail gate. Other details - sand cans, front tow link, a rear beam pilot for LNP with steps. More pix when it's finished and weathered. Gary
Lookin' good so far ... reminiscent of the gooses/geese converted to work service ... but "cuter" :D .... nice clean work on the body conversion.
Cheers,
Dallas
Nice job on the body chop. SHould be a neat conversion.
Thanx guys... Gary
WAY cool, Gary. Love the motor.
Very cool. Is the body brass or plastic?
Thanx again guys. The whole model is brass, and a bit of a pain to axe up. Before shots added. Gary
Well, it be done. Here are some work bench shots for your entertainment. The trailer has pickups just in case it wants to stall on DCC, but I hope it won't need it. Soundtraxx Tsunami used, it fit under the seat! Gary
A few more pix... Gary
The back end looks great, Gary. The chain fall and beam fit perfectly into the model.
Nice piece of equipment and some excellent scratchbuilding!
Thanx Ken.. too bad I did it for someone else! Perhaps I'll do one in Gn15... or 1:8!!!!!!!!!! Gary
Came out nice Gary!
Thanx Chuck... Gary
