It's unbelievable how much research and design work went into this unusual model.

Seen from the outside you may have the impression that « Scratch-CADing » is less  time-consuming than real scratch building. It is not! Though the mayor advantage is that it offers the possibility to adjust and redo each parts again and again. :-\
So, I needed two weeks to finish the «right» attachement equippment.
But I am quite pleased as it turned out!

This is the great advantage of 3D CAD. You can modify the models with relatively little effort. When I think back to how laborious it was on the drawing board ...

I'm also pleased with how it turned out. Even better, not only is it perfect, but nobody has any idea how many corrections you may have, or may NOT have, made. -- Russ

There were quite some changes. Here the files of the frame construction. I usually save mayor changes by consecutive numbers. If I have to start again from the beginning, I save it under the next number of tens, and so on...

On the finishing straight, finally! Here the box art of the 100 hp Dürkopp.
If the truth be told, I was getting a little bit tired of the project now  :-\
And the stash of unmade models is growing steadily...

Fabulous work Peter.  You deserve to be proud of what you have accomplished with your models.

Bernhard

That looks really good. It's always a good feeling when a project has been successfully completed.

Yes, I am also proud of it. But the main impetus to do these vehicles is to share informations about a rather specific topic that I collected over more than thirty years before it will disappear one day. I also shared photos and plans with other producers as I can't make everything by myself.

Here the collection of german artillery tractors we did up to now...
