Hi gents
As you may have noticed, currently there are mulitple projects under development on my computer. However, on my working desk I am very disciplined. In order to avoid losing my focus amid all my different interests, I am always  working only on a single project.

Some times ago and after completion of my work on the Artillery Tractors I decided to start a more demanding challenge: The British Centurion tank is a legend even in Switzerland. I wanted to build this tank since my days in Swiss military as I could spend one cold and rainy autumn night under the cover of one of those tanks.
Unfortunately I had to wait with that project until I got retired, so never say never !
Here the object of my desire in 1979 (the vehicle in the background ). BTW The location is about 20 minutes away from where Bernhard lives.



I intended to use the old Tamiya kit of this tank in 1/25 scale as a starting point. After a hesitant start with some quick designed replacement parts I realised, that this will become a huge project because most of the Tamiya parts are wrong or simplified.

Here the first impressions seen on my computer...

   

...and from my workbench. As I do not have my own SLA Printer this work was done by a Romanian provider of my trust. And he did a terrific job – even the cast number is clearly visible!

You are a master of 3-D CAD. Is the project 1:25 or did you reduce it to 1:35? Given the detail I would guess 1:25. -- Russ

An interesting and challenging project. The first parts already look promising, but there is certainly still a lot of work to be done.
Can you tell me where the picture was taken?

I have several kits of that tank in 1/35 scale, and it would have been much easier to build one of them. But I wanted it in 1/25 scale, Why? I don't know - maybe because it's just bigger!

@Berhard: Schönholzerswilen. And that photo with the elderly woman isn't a coincidence. The idea to present the model one day with that lady in front of it, that thought has hounted me all the time. Would be a great contrast. But then I should find at least a similar 3D figure...

We will see!

Ah yes, of course I know the village. A typical scene from a Swiss army refresher course. I've experienced it a few times in a similar form.
