Don't know. Stan is asking around locally. One pic inside .. that's a cooler I think. Looks to me like it may have been a bar and grill once?

Kind of weird that it is, apparently, out in the middle of nowhere. But I see a lake or river in the background. Maybe at one time, this was once a popular recreation area, and the building was a diner?

Interesting place Ed. There are lots of hidden-away, land-that-time-forgot (some justly so as I recall) little communities along the Blue Ridge... fascinating area with a lot of history.
