I would like to introduce my favorite engine, Shay No.9. The prototype of this shay is the famous Michigan-California Lumber's No.2.

This model was built from a PSC plastic kit. The cab and water tank were replaced with a brass cab and oil/water tank made from surplus parts of a brass engine that PSC manufactured about 40 years ago.

In the photo above, this shay had the plastic trucks, but I finally replaced them with the brass ones to keep the strength.

At last, I would like to show No.9 on my layout.
