A lack of perspective

I have a collection of photos of structures I would like to model, but I was not very good at converting these to drawings which could be used for cutting walls and floors.  What is needed to do was warp space to eliminate the perspective which is  represented by photographs.

I found an interesting reference at the TEMPLOT site which uses a freeware photo/graphic program GIMP. The GIMP is a free image editing package which includes perspective correction tools. This makes it possible to take measurements and make drawings directly from photographs.

Some of the photos look like Picasso's after the unwrapping, but the information is available to create a drawing. I have not given this a try, but I downloaded GIMP and will make an attempt.

Photoshop CS can do this as well...and quite well....but it's expensive
