Fordson Narrow Gauge Tractor

Having a rest from the 1/35th  and having a dabble at 1/16th scale found a photo of a Fordson Tractor conversion on a narrow gauge truck the drive to the 2 axles was taken from the Power take off on the transmission, a bolt on prop shaft could also be used to drive another trailer . The chassis is made from plastic card and the engine and transmission case is laminated plastic card  milled to the required size the axles/diff units and the clutch housing is acrylic rod ,some of the components from Universal Hobbies Fordson (dicast) tractor will be used Rad cowl and some of the gear box bits these being from a failed attempt of doing a "Chuck" on a dicast tractor !! but still that's another story.

Barney,

seems as you are working a lot with styrene, I got curious what kind of glue you're gonna use?!

I currently use acetone mouting styrene parts together, as the special "plastic" glue (UHU plast) I have tends to partially dissolve the styrene, damaging it (warping, changing structure) ...

Gerald - for general use on plastic card and strip/section I use SLATERS -MEK pack -I find it has a good capillary action and is not aggressive to the thiner plastics - for laminating thicker plastic like the engine block and transmission case I use Pastic Magic capillary action is poor but it is very thick syrup type of thing and tends to lay on top of the surface but is very aggressive and makes a very strong weld ideal for laminating
Ray in 1/16 scale (3/4in = 1ft) the wheels work out at 18inches

The journal boxes are very elegant, can we get a close up?
