Does anyone know how to obtain the "peel and stick" layer used on some of the kits being produced?

Is it something they apply?
Or do is it a product from 3M?
Or something else..

I am mostly curious.. but have some ideas of where I would like to use it myself on a future project..

Thanks in advance..

The preferred material for that is 3M's 467MP tape.

For some reason I occasionally receive a catalog from an industrial supplier called ULine and I recall finding the tape there. If you want large sheets, you'll have to find a distributor and they sell big rolls of the stuff. Or just do an Internet search.
