Hi all,
I was sent this link this morning for some archive footage of Aussie hardwood logging from Western Australia.  A good quality archive of some old fashion hard yakka* (*or "work" for the non-Australian readers) and pre OH&S operations  ;)

they are indeed a species of eucalyptus-jarrah.rich red colour once common now exotic .like most of old growth forests logged to the point of extinction now tightly controlled.a whole lot was shipped to london for use on there underground railway.hard as steel when properly seasoned
just to lovely to waste .
