Yeah...I know....it's been quite a while since I posted anything.
Certainly not through any lack of interest - just been real busy.

Here's what I've been up to, though.  First, I played around with a
1/48th-scale ghost wall as an exercise in texture:

I carved the plaster wall first...

...then added color & texture (crackle paint, printed wall paper, etc.......

But the big project is a 1/2"-scale motel diorama.
Here's are some of the pieces.  Basic frame work, doors & windows:

...and air conditioning units.

The office will get a screen door:

and (my favorite piece of the puzzle so far) the housekeeping cart:

More to come (in a more timely manner from now on....)

How did you make that screen door?

Ray:
The frame is sheet styrene; the flat bar is brass; the center section is
two separate pieces cut from my early photo-etch & soldered together
facing each other for a symmetrical design.  The bottom is a piece of
coffee can foil seal, the screen is just fabric store stuff.

Please What is 1/2 "scale.
... if I'm allowed to feed Ken's line ... 1/2" scale means one half inch to the foot, therefore 1/24 scale ... (please correct me, if I should be wrong) ...

Cheers

Ken Hamilton

That's absolutely correct, Gerald.  1/2" scale is 1/2"-equals-1'.
Thanks......

I just realized, there are twelve doors on that structure. Are you actually going to make twelve of those screen doors??

No way, Ray!  The office will have the only screen door.
