Hi,

I just discover this layout. It's amazing and very well inspired.

hi all i will do this post in 2 bits sometimes i get to the end and push the wrong button and i loose the lot very up setting.
so.
Dapto is nearly finished and is getting packed for its big adventure-Sydney,Dubi,Rome,Amsterdam and Utrecht.the other side of the world.
i have built the model to be self contained with the idear of large scale[1-35] minim space ,it all fits into a cabin size bag.
it has all worked.
the 2 last job the lights has been done, the graphics is the last.
with the lighting it is a mix of cool and warm LEDS,the light box is made of cardboard-very light ,the graphics will be attached to this.the supporting arm is alumina wires on top.at the back is a tension wire[you could use a spring]to support the whole structure.the assembly has 3 sections the light box ,the arm and 12v transformer.the effect super clear, 3d built for Australian sunlight.
pictures are in the next section.
cheers kim

Looks great, and the design work that went into making this all pack up neatly into a small, portable package is really impressive.

hi Dapto packs up into a box the back scene is the top of the travelling box,all this fits into a hard shell suit case.
apart from the box there is the rod that supports the lighting rig 2 x12 volt transformers[lights and controller for the loco]and a little tool box -they fit on top.how much i can get through airport security well that is the big question.i all might have to go into the hold dont worry i will take extra super glue.more pictures of how the inner box works soon.
the big adventure-the Modeltrain Expo-Ontraxs 2017-Utrecht Netherlands.
14,500 k-.3 plane trips, 4 train trips and a lot of walking.
i am the first Australian to be invited to the model train Expo basically i am the only one who knows how to do large scale miniture full working displays that can be transported within a budget.
cheers kim.
