I think it might be the other way around. She was before this time. The Thorne rooms serve as an example to later dollhouse miniaturists (1/12th scale).     https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissa_Niblack_Thorne

If you are in Chicago, the Thorne Rooms are really worth checking out. And while you are in the Art Institute, you could also take in some exceptional art...the building is full of it!
