I like both types of clamp. Is there a link to where the first one can be purchased?  The second one is a cam because of the pin being offset from the center of the rod. Does it being made from aluminum and is a heat sink act as a problem?

Bernhard

The first solution is mine. I built the parts myself.
I also like the second solution. The heat dissipation is probably not so bad because the workpiece is only in contact with the cylinder on one line. To reduce it further, you could reduce the diameter of the cylinders.

Basic Dimensions for the brass blocks, or should I look at the junk bin and wing it?

Bernhard

The brass block is 8 x 8 x 16 mm, the screw is M3.
