Of course, only the military called it the Mark 1, to everyone else it was a Land Rover. Until the wheelbase was increased from 80" to 86" . It only became a Series One in 1958 when the Series 2 was introduced.

  I also have been waiting many years for a 1/35th scale Series One to come on the market and it looks as if this might be the first of a series of different models . I have seen that there are plans for a later version of this model to be introduced at some point . It looks like a nice kit

Reminds me I did some etchings for a Landrover a few years back as a job for a customer.

This was for the 'pink panther' rather than the MkI though. Etched in Stainless steel.  I can't recall the scale, but most likely 1/35.
