Looks real to me!! :o
Not to be critical but shouldn't the area in front of the step be matted down/dirty from traffic?
Or is it abandoned?

This just gets better and better, if that's possible.
The groundcover is perfect, Chuck.  It really accents the
poured-concrete-over-stone deck.  Outstanding...........

Perfect.  Just goes so well with the concrete and stonework.  Just the right touch of green Russ should even be pleased with this.  If not we have a corner still open!!!

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

Okay, okay. I'm satisfied with the model's appearance. In fact, it is superb. But one thing still bothers me. You wrote, "...various foundation elements were arraigned". In what courthouse?

Thanks for the nice words all!

Looking great Chuck... the grass with the concrete and stones is very convincing. It's a minor point, but the light gravel on the path way looks somehow out of place. I would expect it to be more packed down... just a thought.

Chuck...I hate to say this, because I probably couldn't do better,.....though beautifully installed and represented, the grass color really bugs me......it just doesn't say California foothills to me.....I would have preferred more yellow....and if you wanted green, maybe a dendelion or some such weed here and there in a nook/corner.

I agree with Paul on the current state of the gravel....probably because it's just so bright& contrasty......but I am assuming that part is not done yet

Thanks for the comments. The gravel was a first coat and now there is a more smooshed layer with larger chunks and other debris.  I have never tried gravel covering before so it will be interesting to see how it comes out. Fortunately there are 23,000 or so gravel road pics to peruse on Flicker! And I have a large putty knife at the ready to scrape it clean! :o

The grass is late summer. They don't really have a yellow in this series; the next color is more darkish brown. I will be adding more Macramé grass, so we'll see how that comes out. This green stuff is all new to me too as is the Silflor. I only got one color so it may be a bit monotone, but I didn't have enough stimulus money to send to Scenic Express for more. I am planning an additional shrubbery (nee!), and that may help.

Ultimately, the (maybe)credit/(likely)BLAME will go to Mon Uncle, for his suggestion! This is why I'm afraid of color! ;D

Thanks Jacq! I actually don't hate the green grass yet. I just may have to move the location if it ain't Cailforny enough!
