Thanks all! Marty, they cast a valve stem in, so it was easy to remember! I almost did a wheel weight, but that would have been silly.

Thanks Jerry, we are away from the flames, but not the smoke.

Chuck,
Very nice as usual. Sorry I don't sign in very often but your work always leaves me wordless. Now you need a piece or two of old hose laying on the ground, and is there going to be a hose-bib of some sort near?

Thanks Gordon!

Yeah, I'll do some hose and a valve, but probably after I finish some of the rough handling construction and get it mounted. I keep breaking things!

Oh sure... not only did you take the old screen door off my back porch, but now I know where my old Chevy wheel went too... ;)

Outstanding work as usual Chuck

Paul. all you gotta do is slap some new paint on all that stuff and I'd never touch it!

By all means please stop by and bring a big truck. Nothing I own has much paint on it.

Not much progress lately. I did test fit the garage doors. They still need some nails and other hardware.

(...I wish I could at least pretend not to be insanely jealous of you....)

On a more civil note, the initial sketch in your Fotki album shows a gas pump.
Is that still in the equation?  And you did say you're wrapping a hose around
the wheel, right?

Howza'bout some closeups of those garage doors, too?
That will give me one more reason to bang my head against the wall.

Okay just so you know I'm paying attention to this.  What happened to the Coca Cola sign???

Outside of that your little progress is just unbelievable, and please do a close-up.

Thanks! The Coke sign was temporarily attached and I removed it for safe keeping until I finish dropping and knocking this over.

I am still planning a pump, probably between the window and garage doors. The hose is coming, but I need to mount the wall on the foundation first for the same reason as above!

This was the best shot I got...my camera has turned Cubist and keeps doing a Picasso number on my pics, slicing them up and re-arrainging them. I will try to sort that out this weekend.

Chuck, the new protrusion on the left-hand edge of the building is reminsicent of a similar one on the barn diorama. And the lack of depth (so far) on the right-hand side suggests you may be planning to put the store in the background and some kind of surprise, although probably not a Fordson tractor, in the foreground. Want to offer a clue as to your ultimate intent? -- Russ

This is the basic layout. It will be on the same kind of base as the barn, but set at a slight angle. Other than a gas pump I don't have anything else planned yet. This has been a poorly planned thing so far.
